Product overview and engineering role
The SimtoLink Zigbee 3.0 coordinator gateway is the coordinator of a 2.4 GHz mesh. It forms the network, keeps the routing table, and grants endpoint join permission, then translates cluster attributes and scene commands into northbound MQTT or HTTP so electrical endpoints and the cloud platform can be managed as one set.
Green Power, OTA, and key rotation are supported. Several gateways can share the load so one channel does not saturate. SimtoLink supplies a cluster-to-JSON map and an interference checklist, which shortens network acceptance when smart-home and commercial-lighting jobs go out in volume.
Reliability and site fit
IEC 61000-4 level 4 test items are covered. Ports include surge and reverse-polarity protection. Reinforced grounding and a partitioned layout lower ground-loop and common-mode risk. Outdoor and coastal orders can step up to a higher ingress rating and an anti-corrosion coat.
Software can take a batch of parameters and threshold policies. Where the model includes it, events or waveforms are recorded, and both configuration and firmware move by OTA. Site acceptance is a power-on self-test, a time sync on the link, and a sample check. If the gateway is used for metering or a safety function, SimtoLink can help submit it to a third-party metrology institute and can supply the type-test documents.
Key hardware parameters
Figures below are the typical configuration of this gateway, for selection and for the technical clauses of a tender. A wider range, redundant power, or an intrinsically safe explosion-proof variant is a separate order. Ask SimtoLink for the Hardware Specification and the Installation and Commissioning Guide. Order codes in the family can differ slightly. The nameplate and the documents shipped with the unit govern.

Typical applications
Three ways this gateway is usually commissioned, when you are choosing a scheme and checking how the join will work:
Whole-home smart electrical products
Switches, sockets, and sensors join over Zigbee 3.0. The coordinator reports status and pushes OTA. The app and a voice assistant drive them through a cloud or LAN API.
Chain-store lighting and fit-out
Each store takes the same gateway image. Headquarters pushes scenes and energy-saving policy in a batch, and the store only scans a code to fill in the network.
Equipment rooms and warehouse sensing
Dense temperature and humidity nodes form their own 2.4 GHz network indoors. The gateway hands standard points to the power-and-environment system or the cold chain.
Installation, grounding, and maintenance
- Confirm the supply range and polarity before power-on. If the circuit is in doubt, measure bus voltage and breaker rating with a multimeter.
- Run communications on shielded twisted pair, grounded at one end, and keep it out of long parallel runs with high-power cables.
- For the first go-live, finish bidirectional read and write plus a threshold-trigger check against the platform in the lab, then move the gateway to site.
- Outdoors, give drainage and ventilation priority, inspect the seal faces on a schedule, and keep lightning-protection ground resistance inside local code.
- On a long-running site, sample the unit and archive logs once every 24 months.
Ordering, documents, and support
SimtoLink supplies the hardware specification, dimension drawings, a wiring table, and a sample project. Volume orders can include a sample review and inspection at the factory. Warranty and calibration follow the contract and the papers shipped with the gateway.
