Overview
International traffic management is how usage is counted once devices are not on one network. It covers usage analytics, traffic aggregation, usage attributed at CDR level, and live usage monitoring. SimtoLink International IoT Cloud Platform (ICMP) runs that count end to end, across 200+ countries and regions, for 500+ enterprise customers and more than 10 million connected devices.
Usage, compared over time
Count consumption by country or region, operator, device, group, or time. Read the trend, compare it with the same period last year and with the previous period, and warn before an overage, so plan choice and capacity planning have a number to use.
One total, attributed on the CDR
Aggregate traffic across operators and regions. Attribute usage at CDR (call detail record) level so billing, reconciliation, and cost sharing can use the same line.
Usage while it is still moving
Usage refreshes as it happens. A threshold alert or an unusual pattern can go out by webhook or be read through the API, so operations can respond quickly.
What a usage view has to make predictable
Teams need one view of traffic across borders, usage rolled up across operators and regions, handling that meets GDPR and data localization, and usage and cost they can forecast. ICMP provides a global dashboard, usage reports, cost reports, alert settings, an API, and CDR export, and the same view can grow with the estate.
How the usage record is kept
Usage collection runs on a microservices architecture and is held to an SLA of 99.9%, with technical support 7×24. TLS protects usage data in transit, IAM and RBAC limit who can read a CDR, and the audit trail covers exports.
- One usage view, instead of a separate tally for every operator and region
- CDR-level attribution precise enough for billing, reconciliation, and cost sharing
- A REST API for BI and ERP, and an export of the usage report
- A customer-success manager to set usage rules and revise the thresholds
Where the count changes a decision
From a usage rule to a number finance will accept
Work through requirements review → solution design → a proof of concept (POC) → scaled deployment → ongoing tuning. SimtoLink sets usage rules, tunes alert thresholds, opens a POC environment, and helps with the API and training. Contact SimtoLink to align the usage rules with how you bill and reconcile.
