Smart Training Solutions

Virtual simulation, skill assessment, and training management for vocational colleges and company training centers

Smart training overview

Built on the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and a cloud platform, this solution gives vocational colleges and company training centers virtual simulation, connected training equipment, captured procedures, automated assessment, and analysis. VR and AR practice, hazardous-scene simulation, and automatic recording and scoring of each step make training safer, cheaper, and scored to one standard, and they support industry–education collaboration and digital skills development.

Vocational education is about doing the work, but real labs are expensive, hazardous tasks are hard to practice, scoring depends on the examiner, and little of the session is recorded. China's Ministry of Education is building virtual-simulation training bases under the rule "use real practice wherever it can be done, and combine virtual with real." The solution covers simulation, connected equipment, captured procedures, and automated assessment. VR and AR stand in for hazardous or costly work such as work at height, welding, chemical processes, and clinical skills. Machine tools, PLCs, robots, and similar equipment report parameters, steps, and process data. Scoring follows the procedure, the sequence, and the result, so the examiner's personal judgment weighs less. Analysis shows what the session achieved, where learners are weak, and what to change, and it can feed 1+X certificates and skill-level recognition. It fits vocational colleges, technician schools, company training centers, and special-operations training.

Policy background

The Ministry of Education's Action Plan for Quality Improvement and Excellence in Vocational Education calls for a set of virtual-simulation training bases. The Opinions on Promoting the High-Quality Development of Modern Vocational Education stress closer industry–education collaboration and the combined job–course–competition–certificate model. The 1+X certificate system requires a training record that can be stored, traced, and assessed. Virtual simulation lowers the risk of hazardous practice and avoids buying every costly machine. Captured procedures and automated scoring put skill assessment on one standard, which supports 1+X certificates and skill-level recognition. The same data shows teachers what to change. In typical use, virtual simulation cuts training cost by 30%–50% and covers more hazardous scenarios. Automated assessment makes scores much more consistent and raises assessment throughput 3–5 times.

How to roll it out

Virtual with real: Put simulation first on hazardous, costly, or hard-to-repeat work, such as chemical processes, welding, and work at height. Foundational skills stay on real equipment. Simulation is the preview, the extra practice, and part of the assessment.

Assessment standards: Automated scoring has to follow the teaching standard, the skill-level standard, and the 1+X certificate. Build a digital model of the steps, the critical actions, and the scoring rules, and develop it with employers and assessment bodies.

Using the data: Session data supports teaching review, individual coaching, and quality evaluation. Linked to student records and the academic system, it can count toward training credit and a certificate application.

Core modules

From the simulation through the score

Virtual simulation

VR and AR practice, hazardous scenes, and virtual operation of costly equipment, under the rule of using real practice wherever it can be done and combining virtual with real.

Captured procedures

Equipment data, steps, and the session record are captured as they happen, for playback, review, and a trace of the procedure.

Automated assessment

Procedure, sequence, and result are scored automatically, and the result can feed 1+X certificates and skill-level recognition.

Analysis and improvement

The session shows what worked, where learners are weak, and what to change, for teaching updates and individual coaching.
