Electronic Invoices — SimtoLink IoT Cloud Platform

Fully digital invoices · Invoice titles · Invoice requests · Red-letter reversals and voids

1. Scenario overview

After a company or an end customer finishes data plan subscription and pays, they often need a VAT invoice or an ordinary invoice for expenses and for the books. Electronic invoicing on the SimtoLink IoT Cloud Platform connects to a tax digital account and an invoicing provider for fully digital invoices. Users request an invoice on the self-service platform, operations can invoice in batches and export, and finance reconciles and archives. It is tied tightly to order management and refunds and disputes: a refund needs a red-letter invoice or a void, so the same amount is not claimed twice.

As fully digital invoices become the norm, match invoice limits, tax classification codes, and tax rates to the IoT service category. Check the format of the invoice title and the tax ID. A company title can be saved for reuse. A failed invoice is retried, or issued again by hand.

2. Core capabilities

Invoice titles

Users keep the company name, tax ID, bank, address, and phone. A business license can be read by OCR. A B2B contract can carry a default invoice title.

Invoicing rules

Map tax items and rates from order lines and fee types. Several orders can go on one invoice, or one order can be split. A remark can carry a SIM number range or a billing period.

Delivery and archive

A PDF or OFD link goes to the user’s email and in-app messages. A company can pull invoices into its ERP. Electronic seals and long-term archive rules are supported.

Red-letter reversals and voids

A full refund issues a full red-letter invoice. A partial refund issues a partial one. A failed invoice can be voided and issued again. The whole path is kept for audit.

3. Tax compliance

The entity on the invoice and the entity that takes the payment must be the same. Cross-border and special cases need a tax adviser of their own. Sync status with the tax authority on a regular schedule, and deal with odd invoices and tax-risk notices.

4. Typical use cases

  • One monthly invoice for a business customer: After dozens of IoT SIM renewals in a month, the customer asks for one merged invoice. Finance receives the OFD and posts it, with no one retyping the invoice.
  • An end customer requests an invoice: A small-business owner submits the request on the self-service site and uploads a business license. OCR fills the invoice title. The fully digital invoice goes out the same day, with an email, and fewer people call support.
  • A refund that reverses the invoice: If the plan never took effect and the payment is refunded, the system issues a red-letter invoice for the one already sent. Audit can follow each original invoice to its reversal, which is what a tax inspection asks for.

5. Implementation notes

Review the tax-item and tax-rate table before go-live. Agree the invoicing SLA and the support script with finance. During a promotion, watch the peak on the invoicing channel.

6. What you gain

Electronic invoices on the SimtoLink IoT Cloud Platform raise satisfaction for business customers, shorten the time from sale to cash posted in the books, and meet tax rules. Fully digital invoices go out faster, and batch invoicing for large accounts takes less work. A red-letter reversal tied to the refund removes the tax risk of a manual mistake. Standard tax items and invoice titles mean a complete invoice file is there when a tax inspection asks for it.
