User Self-Service — SimtoLink IoT Cloud Platform solution

Look up a SIM · Renew or upgrade · Activate or resume · White-labeled clients

1. Scenario overview

User self-service is the place an end user actually works. End-user management is the account system behind it. The portal is an H5 page, a mini program, or an app. After sign-in the user can look up a SIM, see data, renew, move up a plan, activate, resume a suspended SIM, open a bill, and request an invoice, without calling support.

White label lets you set the brand name, logo, and colors so the screen is yours. End-user management answers who the person is. Self-service answers what they can do. Together that is the end-user experience.

2. Core capabilities

Look up a SIM and its data

After sign-in the user sees the SIMs bound to the account. Each one shows the current plan, usage this month, what is left, and when it ends. Filter by SIM and sort by usage. Traffic statistics and SIM status monitoring keep the numbers and the status current.

Renew or upgrade

Before a plan ends, the user can renew it. If data is short, they can move to a larger tier. Payment integration and plan orders apply it as soon as payment succeeds. Put the same entry in a traffic alert. The notice says the data is about to run out, the link opens the portal, and the renewal is finished there.

Activate or resume

Activation: a new user scans a code or types the ICCID, activates the SIM, and binds it, on the portal. That fits retail and a device sold with a SIM. Resume after arrears: if the SIM was suspended for non-payment, the user pays and it comes back. Payment integration and suspend and resume can be set to resume on payment, or to resume only after payment and an approval.

Every client, under your brand

H5 fits a phone browser. A WeChat mini program, an Alipay mini program, and a standalone app are optional. The account and the data are the same on each, so the user can move between them. White label shows your brand, logo, and colors, and does not show the platform’s mark. With white-label operations, the end-user experience is yours.

They work as a set. End-user management creates the account. Self-service is where the user acts. Plan orders are how a plan is chosen and bought.

5. Typical use cases

  • Look up and renew: the user signs in, sees the bound SIMs and what data is left, renews before the plan ends, and moves up a tier when data is short.
  • Activate or resume: a new SIM is activated by scanning a code. After a suspend for arrears, payment brings it back.
  • Bills and invoices: open an order, ask for a refund, or request an e-invoice.

6. Why it matters

User self-service on the SimtoLink IoT Cloud Platform takes work off the support desk and puts it in the user’s hands. Most of the job is done without a call. White label makes the brand theirs. H5, a mini program, and an app cover how people actually open it. With traffic alerts, payment integration, and suspend and resume, the end-user path stays in one place.

7. Implementation notes

Make the portal the main door for end users, and cut steps until the common jobs are short. Put a renewal link in the traffic alert so a tap lands on the portal and the payment. SimtoLink can help you shape the portal and connect it.
