Product overview and where it fits
The SimtoLink energy-storage BMS energy meter is for commercial and industrial storage, DC cabins, and BMS energy management. The metering front end works with the MCU and a dedicated metering chip to store active and reactive energy and the tariff registers. Communications and time sync, including LoRa and GPS, match the parameters in the table, so the meter can join an EMS, a virtual power plant, or local SCADA. Terminals and seals follow utility and energy-management practice, and volume orders can include cutouts, silkscreen, and a wiring diagram.
SimtoLink can supply a register point list, DL/T 645 and Modbus mapping examples, and a northbound MQTT push template. For a given order code, the nameplate and the hardware specification govern. For a variant, ask for the type-test summary and the calibration plan.
Reliability on site
Electrical safety and EMC follow the industrial and metering test items. The voltage and current circuits are built for surge and common-mode stress, and the layout keeps the metering island and the communications ground from interfering with each other.
Software can freeze time-of-use tariff registers, log demand events, and correct the clock, depending on the model and the protocol. Remote parameter setting and OTA are optional. SimtoLink asks for a CT polarity check, a pulse cross-read against the reference meter, and a sampled communications read before the meter is put on the grid.
Key hardware parameters
The ratings below are the typical build of this meter, written so a specifier can cite them in a bid clause. For a wider range, redundant power, or an intrinsically safe variant, ask SimtoLink for the hardware specification and the installation and commissioning guide. Order codes in the same family can differ slightly; the nameplate and the documents in the box govern.

Typical applications
Four field patterns for this meter, useful when you are laying out a scheme and checking payback:
Cabinet and container storage
Cluster charge and discharge energy is accumulated and tied to BMS status, which supports the SOC/SOH strategy and settlement at the grid connection point.
PV, storage, and charging
Meters the energy flow among PV, storage, and EV chargers, for peak-valley arbitrage and demand control.
Commercial and industrial grid points
Works with the campus energy system, the gateway meter, or branch meters, and covers time-of-use tariffs and reverse-power monitoring.
Off-grid and microgrids
Where the public network is weak or the site is off-grid, frozen energy readings go up over LoRa and similar links for energy management and patrols.
Installation, grounding, and maintenance
- Check CT/PT secondary polarity and phase sequence, tighten to the torque table shipped with the meter, and do not mate or unmate a metering plug while it is live.
- Use shielded twisted pair for communications, grounded at one end, and keep RS485 and LoRa antennas away from variable-frequency drives and other strong interference.
- Before commissioning, cross-check the time source (GPS or network SNTP) and the tariff calendar against the master station with all three parties.
- Inspect meter-box drainage, lightning-protection earth, and seals to the local utility and energy-management rules.
- On the contract cycle, spot-check error, clock offset, and the communications online rate.
Ordering, documents, and support
SimtoLink supplies the hardware specification, dimension drawings, a wiring table, and sample projects for this meter. Volume orders can include a sample review and in-plant inspection. Warranty and calibration follow the contract and the documents shipped with the unit.
