Product Overview and Engineering Role
The SimtoLink dual-tariff time-of-use meter is for peak and valley tariffs, capacity charges, and branch metering. A temperature-compensated clock keeps tariff changes and freeze times on the mark. LoRa reporting matches the figures in the table, which suits scattered transformer areas, outdoor meter boxes, and sites with little staff on hand.
SimtoLink supplies a tariff-calendar template, freeze-register notes, and a master-station interface example. Volume orders can take custom seals, silkscreen, and a wiring diagram. Acceptance is against the nameplate and the Hardware Specification.
Reliability and Site Conditions
On electrical safety and EMC, the meter follows the industry test path. Metering and RF are wired in separate zones. The outdoor meter-box build also covers wide temperature and condensation.
Registers can hold several tariffs, with daily and monthly freezes and an event log, depending on the model. Before the meter goes into service, run a tariff-switch drill, a LoRa gateway coverage test, and a record of the time-sync offset.
Key Hardware Parameters
The table is this meter in a typical build, for selection and for the technical clauses of a bid. A wider range, redundant power, or an intrinsically safe explosion-proof variant is available from SimtoLink with the Hardware Specification and the Installation and Commissioning Guide. Order codes in the same family can differ slightly; the nameplate and the papers shipped with the meter govern.

Typical Deployments
Four ways this meter is usually installed, for laying out a design and for judging the payback.
Peak-Valley Settlement and Energy Performance
Register energy in critical-peak, peak, shoulder, and off-peak bins, so a park or a factory can settle an energy plan and an energy-performance contract.
Branch and Floor Metering
Settle a tenant or a floor on its own meter, and cut manual reads and disputes.
Transformer Areas and Scattered Rural Points
LoRa reports at low power and covers metering points where the public network is weak or cable is hard to pull.
Line Loss and Benchmarking
Line the frozen values up with the gateway meter for the same interval, then use them for line-loss totals and for spotting abnormal use.
Installation, Grounding, and Maintenance
- Recheck CT polarity and phase sequence. Never open the CT secondary.
- Keep the LoRa antenna clear of a closed metal housing and of variable-frequency drives. Run a field-strength check if the path is uncertain.
- After a tariff-calendar change, do one two-way read between the master station and the meter.
- Inspect the meter-box seal and the lightning-protection earth to the local power code.
- On a schedule, spot-check clock drift and confirm the frozen data is complete.
Ordering, Documentation, and Support
SimtoLink supplies the hardware specification, an outline drawing, a wiring table, and a sample project. Volume orders can include a sample review and inspection at the factory. Warranty and calibration follow the contract and the documents shipped with the meter.
