Multi-parameter monitoring and IAQ
The SimtoLink environmental monitor combines PM2.5 and PM10 (particulate matter), temperature and humidity, noise, VOCs (volatile organic compounds), CO2, and other sensors. It is used for indoor air quality (IAQ), outdoor dust, and site environmental monitoring. Outputs are Modbus, 4G, and LoRa, and it can feed an environmental platform and an LED display.
The PM sensor uses laser scattering. Accuracy is about 5 times that of an infrared method, with a fast response and stable readings. The SimtoLink environmental monitoring setup is already in schools, hospitals, office buildings, and construction sites, with more than 5000 units deployed, and it supports environmental compliance and health management.
Parameters and ranges
SimtoLink environmental monitors come in several builds, by site and by the parameters you need. The table is a typical reference:
| Parameter | Range | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| PM2.5 / PM10 | 0–1000 μg/m³ (typical range, by model) | Indoor IAQ, site dust |
| Temperature and humidity | Temperature -40~80 ℃; relative humidity 0–100% RH | Indoor and outdoor air, equipment rooms, fresh-air and HVAC interlock |
| CO2 | About 400–5000 ppm (typical IAQ, extendable) | Classrooms, office buildings, fresh-air and ventilation strategy |
| VOCs / TVOC | Depends on the sensor (ppb, or an equivalent index, optional) | IAQ, fit-out, and odor monitoring |
| Noise | 30~130 dB(A) | Site environmental monitoring and noise supervision |
| Formaldehyde | Optional (electrochemical and others) | Fit-out checks, medical and clean rooms |
Output Modbus/4G/LoRa. Supply is DC 12 V or solar. Ingress protection is IP65 on the outdoor version. An external display, over-limit alarms, and linked control are supported. Parameters can be chosen for the job. SimtoLink helps with that choice and calibrates the sensors.
Typical sites and what they delivered
From classroom IAQ to site dust and hospital clean rooms, the monitor covers environmental monitoring across several industries. Typical jobs and what they delivered:
Classroom IAQ and fresh air
A school put monitors in 30 classrooms. PM2.5 and CO2 are shown in real time and tied to the fresh-air system, which improves indoor air for students and staff.
Site dust monitoring
A construction site uploads PM10 and noise to the environmental platform in real time, which meets the supervision rules, and it can start the spray system to knock the dust down.
Hospital clean rooms
A hospital monitors PM, temperature and humidity, and CO2 in operating rooms and the ICU, which supports a safe medical environment and the cleanliness requirement.
Zoned air quality in an office building
An office building installed 100 monitors, meters air quality by zone, and tightens HVAC control. Staff satisfaction went up.
Selection and deployment
- Site: Indoors, use a multi-parameter unit (PM, temperature and humidity, CO2, VOCs). For outdoor dust, you need PM10 and noise.
- Environmental reporting: If the job must report to an environmental platform, pick a model that speaks the national protocol. SimtoLink connects that platform so the data meets the local authority’s reporting rules.
- Supply: With no mains, use solar plus 4G. If the site needs a local display, use a unit with a screen or an external LED panel.
- Calibration: Calibrate the PM sensor once a year so the readings stay honest. Outdoors, clean the sample inlet on a schedule so it does not clog.
- What to state on the order: Name the parameters, the site, and the platform the unit has to join.
How a project usually runs
A practical sequence for an environmental monitoring project:
If the site must report to an environmental authority, the protocol and the platform have to match. SimtoLink provides calibration and that reporting link.
Support
SimtoLink helps select the monitor and connect environmental reporting. Multi-parameter monitoring and an LED display are supported, and calibration and data reporting are available. Manuals and quotations are available.
