Selection at a Glance
- A touchscreen and an embedded PLC or gateway in one unit. Configuration screens, alarms, and recipes are ready when it is unpacked.
- OPC UA, MQTT, and the other northbound links reach MES, the energy desk, and the cloud.
- An IP65 front and a wide-view industrial screen, for a pump station, environmental control, and an outdoor panel beside the machine.
- One machine ships with one panel, so fewer screens, boxes, and harnesses, and a shorter factory FAT.
Product Overview and Engineering Role
The SimtoLink HMI industrial panel puts the interface and the control logic in the same unit, so a split screen and controller do not drop the link or drift out of version. It fits a small or mid-size station and an OEM machine.
SimtoLink supplies screen templates, user roles, and a remote-desktop maintenance plan. Volume jobs can set the cutout, the logo, and the boot screen.
Reliability and Site Conditions
On electrical safety and EMC, this panel has cleared the relevant IEC 61000-4 Level 4 items. The ports include surge and reverse-polarity protection. A reinforced ground and a split layout keep ground loops and common-mode noise down. Outdoor or coastal sites can take a higher ingress rating and a corrosion-resistant coating.
Parameters can be imported in bulk. Threshold rules, and event video or waveform capture, depend on the model. Configuration and firmware move by OTA. On site, run three checks: power-on self-test, time sync on the link, and a spot check of samples. Where the panel is used for metering or for safety, SimtoLink can help with a third-party metrology submission and the type-test file.
Key Hardware Parameters
The table is the typical configuration of this panel, for selection and for bid clauses. A wider range, redundant power, or an intrinsically safe variant is available from SimtoLink with the Hardware Specification and the Installation and Commissioning Guide. Order codes in the family can differ slightly; the nameplate and the documents shipped with the panel govern.
| Parameter | Specification | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| I/O | 256 points | Distributed expansion |
| Scan cycle | 2.4 ms | Instruction level |
| Programming | Ladder plus structured text | Online debug |
| Communications | PROFINET | Dual port |
| Redundancy | Single CPU | Bumpless switchover |
| Safety | STO safety module | TÜV |
| Storage | 8 MB program | Held through a power loss |
| Operating temperature | -16~57 ℃ | Wide temperature |
| Power | AC 220 V | 4 kV surge |
| Certification | CCC | Industry compliance |
Typical Deployments
Ways this panel usually lands on a job, for selection and for joint commissioning:
Pump stations and secondary supply
Local start and stop, a look at the curve, and alarm acknowledge, wall-mounted where the space is tight.
Environmental control and chiller plant
Group-control changes, schedules, and energy-saving modes are on the screen and can be operated there.
OEM machines
The machine ships with one screen. Recipe and maintenance pages keep the critical settings off the operator view.
Installation, Grounding, and Maintenance
- Before power-up, confirm the supply range and polarity. Check bus voltage and breaker rating with a meter when you need to.
- Use shielded twisted pair for the bus, ground the shield at one end, and do not bundle it with high-power cables for a long run.
- For the first connection, prove two-way reads and writes and a threshold trip against the platform in the lab, then move the panel to site.
- Outdoors, give water a way out and leave the enclosure able to breathe. Inspect the seal on a schedule. Lightning-ground resistance has to meet the local code.
- In service, sample the readings and archive the logs every 6 months.
Ordering, Documentation, and Support
SimtoLink supplies the hardware specification, dimension drawings, a wiring table, and a sample project for this panel. Volume orders can include a sample review and a factory inspection. Warranty and calibration follow the contract and the documents shipped with the unit.
