LSTM/TCNTime-series prediction
AC 220V / DCTypical supply
REST / MQTTService interface
NTP / PTPClock alignment

Product Overview and Engineering Role

The service takes time series for energy, vibration, temperature, and process values, builds sliding-window features at the edge, and predicts the short-term trend. It writes a prediction interval and an anomaly score, for predictive maintenance and for load optimization.

The model runs as a container or a service. REST and MQTT let a PLC, SCADA, or an IoT platform subscribe. It can lock to the same NTP or PTP clock as the site, which helps when several sources are fused and when a later review needs a common time. SimtoLink can set the training-data rules and how a retrain pipeline connects.

Reliability and Site Conditions

Electrical safety and EMC include the relevant IEC 61000-4 level 4 tests. Ports have surge protection and reverse-polarity protection. Grounding is reinforced and the layout is partitioned, which holds down ground loops and common-mode noise. Outdoor and coastal sites can take a higher ingress rating and a corrosion-resistant coating.

Feature templates import in bulk. Prediction thresholds and a hot model update are supported. Runtime and the container image move by OTA. On site, run a power-on self-test, lock time to the local NTP or PTP, and spot-check the joint run with the PLC or SCADA. For metering or safety use, SimtoLink can help with a third-party metrology submission and the type-test file.

Key Hardware Parameters

The table is the usual build, for selection and for a bid’s technical schedule. A wider range, redundant power, or an intrinsically safe variant comes from the Hardware Specification and the Installation and Commissioning Guide. Order codes in the family can differ. The nameplate and the papers in the carton decide.

Typical Deployments

Four placements come up when the prediction scheme is drawn and the payback is estimated:

Rotating machines and pump sets

Vibration and temperature trends are predicted early enough to open a lubrication or bearing-replacement work order, and unplanned stops fall.

Campus and line energy

A forecast of the load peak feeds the demand policy, so use can move off the peak and the contracted capacity can be reviewed.

Chemical and batch processes

A warning when a key stage starts to drift, tied to the DCS alarm, so fewer batches are scrapped.

Cold chain and close-control air conditioning

A short forecast of room temperature and chiller power, for an energy policy and for a door left open.

Installation, Grounding, and Maintenance

  • Confirm the supply range and polarity before power is applied. If the feed is uncertain, measure bus voltage and breaker rating with a multimeter.
  • Communications stay on shielded twisted pair, grounded at one end, and not lashed for a long run beside high-power cables.
  • Prove bidirectional read and write, and a threshold trigger, against the platform in the lab before the unit moves to site.
  • An outdoor mount needs a drain and a way to breathe. Inspect sealing faces on a schedule, and keep lightning-ground resistance inside the local rule.
  • Once the service stays in place, spot-check samples and archive logs every 6 months.

Ordering, Documentation, and Support

A hardware specification, dimension drawings, a wiring table, and sample projects come with the inquiry. Volume orders can include a sample review and inspection at the plant. Warranty and calibration follow the contract and the papers in the carton.
