Overview
International SMS is how a cross-border IoT business reaches a person by text. It covers an SMS gateway, application-to-person (A2P) messaging, one-time passwords and two-factor authentication (OTP / 2FA), and bulk SMS. SimtoLink International IoT Cloud Platform (ICMP) runs that path end to end, across 200+ countries and regions, for 500+ enterprise customers and more than 10 million connected devices.
A gateway for A2P
Send and receive A2P SMS over channels in more than one country and operator. Set the sender ID and take a delivery report, so a cross-border notice has a record that it arrived.
OTP and 2FA codes
One-time passwords and two-factor codes go out with a high delivery rate and low delay, for sign-in, a transaction confirmation, or device activation.
Bulk sends, on a schedule, through an API
Bulk SMS covers a large send, templates, and a scheduled send. A REST API connects the flow to the business system and the alert platform.
What a cross-border text channel has to do
The channel has to be one gateway across borders, with reach in many countries and operators, handling that meets GDPR and operator rules, and a delivery rate you can trace. ICMP provides a global SMS dashboard, usage reports, delivery reports, an API, and channel monitoring, and volume can grow with the business.
How a message is admitted and recorded
The SMS path is built as microservices, with an SLA of 99.9% and technical support that stays up 7×24. TLS protects the gateway, IAM and RBAC restrict who can send, and the audit trail keeps the send history.
- One international SMS service, instead of a contract per country and per channel
- A REST API for the business system and the alert platform
- Delivery reports you can trace when a code does not arrive
- A customer-success manager to open channels and keep the delivery rate usable
Messages the gateway is meant to carry
Opening a channel that actually delivers
A practical sequence is requirements review → solution design → a proof of concept (POC) → scaled deployment → ongoing tuning. SimtoLink configures channels, applies for sender IDs, opens a POC environment, and helps with the API and training. Contact SimtoLink to choose routes for the countries where the texts have to land.
