What the Station Watches For
The SimtoLink behavior-analysis GPU station looks for lingering, falls, and zone intrusion. On a GPU/CUDA or OpenVINO stack it keeps end-to-end latency low across several 1080p streams. A built-in rule engine can tie an alarm to sound and light, to access control, or to a report on the platform, so the duty desk can act.
A local 2.5-inch drive and dual Ethernet ports give link redundancy and send the important clips back, which takes load off the center link. SimtoLink supplies a calibrated-camera connection, rule templates, and a sample stress-test report, so an education, elderly-care, or industrial-security bid can cite the same figures used at acceptance.
Reliability on Site
CCC test items for electrical safety and EMC are already on file. Each port has surge protection and rejects a reversed supply. Ground is reinforced and the layout is split into zones, which holds down ground loops and common-mode noise. An outdoor or coastal unit can be ordered with a higher ingress rating and a coating that resists corrosion.
Parameters can be loaded in a batch. Threshold rules, event video, and waveform capture depend on the model, and both configuration and firmware move by OTA. On site, finish a power-on self-test, sync time on the link, and spot-check a sample. If the station is used for metering or for a safety function, SimtoLink helps send it to a third-party metrology institute and supplies the type-test documents.
Key Hardware Parameters
The table is the typical build, for selection and for the technical clauses in a bid. If you need a wider range, redundant power, or an intrinsically safe version, ask SimtoLink for the Hardware Specification and the Installation and Commissioning Guide. Order codes in the family can differ slightly. The nameplate and the documents in the box govern.
| Parameter | Specification | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Inference framework | TensorRT + CUDA | GPU acceleration stack |
| Model capacity | Behavior detection / temporal network | Can be pruned and distilled |
| Video input | 8×1080p30 | H.264/H.265 |
| Latency | <105 ms | Typical end to end |
| Concurrent channels | 8~16 channels | Depends on the model |
| Storage | 512 GB SSD / 2.5-inch drive bay | Event clips kept locally |
| Communication | Dual Gigabit Ethernet | MQTT/HTTP reporting |
| Security | Key injection | Signed firmware |
| Power consumption | <70 W | Peak |
| Operating temperature | -23~59 ℃ | Forced air or fanless |
Typical Use Cases
Four typical deployments, for scheme design and a return-on-investment check:
Campuses and schools
Lingering and crowding alerts along corridors, stairs, and the playground edge, tied into the PA and the security duty routine.
Elderly care
Falls and long stillness in public areas, so patrols can be less frequent while the event recording stays for evidence.
Factories and warehouses
Helps flag restricted-area intrusion, climbing, and objects left behind, checked against infrared beams and access control.
Transit hubs and venues
Abnormal-behavior alerts in crowded areas, with structured alarms into the integrated security platform.
Install, Ground, and Look After It
- Before power-on, confirm the supply range and polarity. If needed, check bus voltage and breaker rating with a multimeter.
- Use shielded twisted pair for communications, ground the shield at one end, and do not run it for a long distance bundled with high-power cables.
- For the first go-live, prove bidirectional reads and writes and a threshold trip against the platform in the lab, then move to site.
- Outdoors, keep water draining and air moving. Inspect the seal faces on a schedule. Lightning-protection ground resistance has to meet the local code.
- On a long run, spot-check samples and archive logs every 12 months.
Ordering, Documentation, and Support
SimtoLink supplies the hardware specification, dimension drawings, a wiring table, and a sample project. Volume orders can include a sample review and a factory inspection. Warranty and calibration follow the contract and the documents shipped with the unit.
