What the Board Runs

The SimtoLink Bluetooth fingerprint lock control board is the main board for home and light-commercial lock makers: Bluetooth provisioning, fingerprint or NFC, and local lock control in one place. It bridges authorization, firmware updates, and event reports between the phone app and the cloud, and it meets elevator control, intercom, and fire linkage on an RS485 access-control bus. The layout pays attention to motor-drive protection, ESD and surge on the ports, ripple on the fingerprint-module supply, and the integrity of keys and the audit area if power is lost.

SimtoLink can supply a reference schematic, a lock-mechanism fit list, and notes on a production-test fixture. For a volume build, confirm the Bluetooth advertising interval, low-power sleep, and lithium charge management against the Hardware Specification, so the board lines up with CCC, radio, and whole-lock certification.

Reliability on Site

CCC coverage for electrical safety and EMC is already closed. Surge and reverse-polarity protection are on the ports. A stronger ground and a partitioned layout keep ground loops and common-mode interference down. If the lock sees weather or a coastal site, a higher ingress rating and a corrosion-resistant coating can be ordered.

Parameters load in a batch. Threshold rules, event video, and waveform capture depend on the model. Configuration and firmware update over OTA. The site check is power-on self-test, time sync, and a sample of readings. Where the board is used for metering or for a safety function, SimtoLink helps file it with a third-party metrology institute and hands over the type-test documents.

Key Hardware Parameters

The rows are the usual build, for selection and for a tender clause. A wider range, a redundant supply, or an intrinsically safe variant is a separate order. Ask SimtoLink for the Hardware Specification and the Installation and Commissioning Guide. Order codes in the family can differ a little. Use the nameplate and the documents in the box.

Storage Local audit area and the platform Event log
Explosion protection Not explosion-proof Residential and light commercial
Operating temperature -21~57 ℃ Indoor and outdoor
Standard EN 50131 Project acceptance

Typical Use Cases

Four places lock makers usually put this board, for the scheme and for a payback check:

Smart entry locks

Fingerprint, password, and Bluetooth together, with app unlock and a temporary password.

Office glass doors and partitions

Hold-open and hold-locked schedules, an attendance tie-in, and a visitor QR-code add-on.

Storerooms and power and ELV closets

Cabinet-level access control and RS485 reporting, so a separate reader costs less.

Hotels and long-stay apartments

PMS and apartment SaaS, room status in bulk, and low-battery alerts.

Install, Ground, and Service

  • Confirm range and polarity before power-on. Measure bus voltage and breaker rating if the drawing is not enough.
  • Use shielded twisted pair, ground the shield at one end, and keep it out of long bundles with high-power cables.
  • Prove bidirectional read and write, and a threshold trip, against the platform in the lab before the board goes to site.
  • Outdoors, drainage and ventilation come before cosmetics. Inspect the seal, and keep lightning-protection earth resistance inside the local rule.
  • On a long deployment, spot-check samples and archive logs every 24 months.

Ordering, Documentation, and Support

SimtoLink provides the hardware specification, structural drawings, a wiring table, and a sample project. Volume orders can include a sample review and a resident factory inspection. Warranty and calibration follow the contract and the documents shipped with the board.
