Product overview and engineering role

The SimtoLink temperature and humidity logger RFID tag pairs an environment log with a UHF read. Inside a cold store, a trailer, or a carton it writes the sensor memory on a cycle. At a door or a stock count, one reader pull exports the curve, so the box stays closed and no extra cable is run.

Sensor type, sample interval, and memory depth follow the order code. SimtoLink can provide a read script lined up with a GSP or HACCP spot check.

Reliability and field fit

IP67 and a cable-tie mount suit a tote or a pallet. In condensation, use a surface that does not hold dew, and avoid a large temperature step at the moment of the read.

Where the table marks sensing as none, the log comes from the chip itself or from an optional module. Follow the section view in the hardware specification.

Key hardware parameters

The table is a typical build of this logger tag, for selection and for a tender clause. A custom band, a custom package, or a volume UID block is a separate order; ask SimtoLink for the hardware specification and the installation and commissioning guide. Order codes in the family can differ slightly. The nameplate and the papers shipped with the tags govern.

Typical applications

Four places this logger tag is usually tied on:

Pharmaceutical cold-chain boxes

The temperature trace for the whole trip can be audited.

Fresh pallets

A dock spot check, without probing every carton.

Laboratory sample boxes

Tied to access control, with an alarm as soon as temperature rises out of range.

Air-cargo ULDs

Coarse monitoring at ULD level, so responsibility for the unit is clear.

Installation, grounding, and maintenance

  • Keep the sensing window out of a dead corner in the insulation. An external probe is an option on models that have one.
  • Hold reader power and tag facing the same way, so each export brings the full log.
  • Where clock drift matters, set time from a reference reader on a schedule.
  • Warn on the platform before the cell is low. Export the history before the tag is swapped.
  • Wash and disinfect so solvent does not creep into a housing seam.

Ordering, documentation, and support

A hardware specification, outline drawings, a wiring table, and an example project are available for this logger tag. Volume orders can include a sample review and inspection on the factory floor. Warranty and calibration follow the contract and the documents packed with the tags.
