Product overview and engineering role
Built for process-sensing deployments. The figures on this page support selection, bid clauses, and later spot checks. Measurement and communications run on a dual-core lockstep MCU so behavior stays predictable across wide temperature, wide voltage, and EMI. Terminals unplug, key chips carry a watchdog and a redundancy check, and critical firmware can be signature-checked and rolled back for volume shipments and remote service.
By default the probe offers CAN-FD and a standard industrial connector, so it can sit on an existing SCADA, energy, or IoT platform. SimtoLink supplies a southbound point-list template and northbound MQTT and HTTP examples. Volume jobs can add silk-screen, harness length, protocol mapping, and a calibration certificate.
Reliability and site fit
CCC test items cover electrical safety and EMC. Ports include surge and reverse-polarity protection. Reinforced grounding and a zoned layout cut ground-loop and common-mode risk. Outdoor and coastal sites can specify a higher ingress rating and a corrosion-resistant coating.
Software accepts a batch parameter import, threshold rules, and event or waveform capture where the model includes them. Configuration and firmware can move over the air. Accept on site in three steps: power-on self-test, time sync, and a sample check. Metering or safety use can add a third-party metrology submission and type-test documents.
Key hardware parameters
Treat the table as the typical build when you write a technical schedule. A wider span, redundant power, or an intrinsically safe variant is quoted with the hardware specification and the commissioning guide. Order codes in the family can differ; the nameplate and the papers in the box govern.

|---|---|---|
| Measurement | Water quality | Factory calibration certificate |
| Range | ±50 g | Extendable |
| Accuracy / linearity | ±0.27 %FS | Compensated over the full temperature span |
| Frequency response | 0~100 Hz | IEPE optional |
| Medium temperature | -24~93 ℃ | Depends on the probe |
| Power | Loop-powered | Surge protection |
| Output | 4~20mA | Isolated |
| Process connection | Immersion | 316L stainless steel |
| Ingress protection | IP67 | Rated for long immersion |
| EMC | GB/T 17626 Level 4 | Industrial sites |
Typical applications
Four deployments, useful when you design the scheme and estimate payback:
Biological treatment at a wastewater plant
Closed-loop dissolved oxygen in aeration tanks, oxidation ditches, and MBR basins, so aeration energy drops and filamentous bulking is less likely.
Aquaculture and recirculating systems
Online dissolved oxygen in grow-out ponds, hatcheries, and biofilters, tied to aerators and feeding so surface-gasping losses fall.
Rivers and reservoirs
Dissolved-oxygen trends from cross-sections and buoy stations, for black-and-odorous water assessments and ecological-flow dispatch.
Fermentation and biopharma
The probe watches the oxygen gradient in a fermenter and works with agitation and air rate to raise yield.
Installation, grounding, and maintenance
- Confirm the supply range and polarity before power-up. If the circuit is unfamiliar, check bus voltage and breaker rating with a meter.
- Run the signal on shielded twisted pair, bond the shield at one end, and keep it off long parallel runs with power cable.
- Prove two-way reads and writes and a threshold trip against the platform in the lab before the probe goes to site.
- Outdoors, give water a way out and air a way through, inspect the seal faces, and hold the lightning earth to the local limit.
- In continuous service, pull a sample check and archive logs every 24 months.
Ordering, documentation, and support
SimtoLink supplies the hardware specification, an outline drawing, a wiring table, and a sample project. Volume orders can include a sample review and a factory inspection. Warranty and calibration follow the contract and the papers shipped with the probe.
