How the electrode is specified
The SimtoLink industrial pH combination electrode is a process-sensing part, and the numbers on this page are the ones a buyer uses to lock a selection, quote in a tender, or check a unit later. Measurement and the link share an industrial-grade MEMS architecture, so the reading stays predictable across wide temperature, wide supply voltage, and electrical noise. Terminals unplug, key devices carry a watchdog and redundant checks, and firmware is signed with rollback, which is what a shipped batch and a remote service call need.
Isolated RS485 on a standard industrial connector is the default, so the electrode can join a SCADA, energy-management, or IoT platform already in the plant. SimtoLink supplies the southbound point list and sample MQTT/HTTP pushes to cut the joint test. A volume order can carry a printed housing, a chosen cable length, a mapped protocol, and a calibration certificate.
IEC 61000-4 and the housing
This electrode is tested to the relevant IEC 61000-4 Level 4 items for electrical safety and EMC. Surge and reverse-polarity protection sit on the ports. A reinforced earth and a split layout keep ground loops and common-mode noise in check. Coastal and outdoor builds can add a higher ingress rating and an anti-corrosion coating.
A batch import covers the parameters. Threshold policies, and event video or waveform capture, depend on the model. Configuration and firmware both move by OTA. SimtoLink closes a site with a power-on self-test, time sync, and a sampling spot check. Metering and safety uses can include a third-party metrology submission and the type-test file.
Key specifications
Figures in the table are the usual hardware set for this pH electrode, so they can sit in a selection note or a tender clause. Ask SimtoLink if you need a wider range, a redundant supply, or an intrinsically safe explosion-proof build, and request the Hardware Specification and the Installation and Commissioning Guide. Sibling order codes can differ slightly. The nameplate and the documents in the crate govern.

Where the electrode sits
Four process layouts, for the scheme and for judging payback:
Supply and disinfection
pH on raw water, after sedimentation, and after the filters, tied to alum and chlorine feedforward and feedback so finished water stays inside the limit.
Cooling circuits and boiler water
Watch open and closed circulating water, makeup, and chemical cleaning so scale and corrosion stay down, and so dosing and blowdown have a live signal.
Plating and hydrometallurgy
Close the loop on bath and leach pH, cut how often someone titrates by hand, and keep a batch curve for process traceability.
Pools and landscape water
Put the industrial pH combination electrode on a public water display or the building controls, and interlock acid, alkali, and the filter pumps so the service round is lighter.
Fitting, earth, and the half-year check
- Check the supply window and polarity with the breaker still open. A meter on the bus and on the breaker rating settles a doubtful cabinet label.
- Use shielded twisted pair, land the shield at one end, and keep any long pull off the route used by high-power cable.
- On the bench, prove read and write in both directions and trip one threshold against the platform before the electrode leaves the lab.
- Outdoors, put drainage and a vent in before you trust the seal. Recheck the faces, and keep the lightning earth inside the local limit.
- On a live point, take a sample and file the log every 6 months.
How to order
The pack includes a hardware specification, dimension drawings, a wiring table, and a sample project. Volume orders can add a sample review and inspection at the factory. Warranty and calibration are set by the contract and the documents shipped with the electrode.
