Product Overview and Engineering Role
The SimtoLink active 2.4 GHz asset tag works mainly as an active broadcast or connected device. It suits mid- to long-range stock counts, geofence entry and exit, and presence at a workstation. Temperature, humidity, and other sensor fields can be reported on a cycle; see the parameter table.
SimtoLink can set up a production flow that programs broadcast interval, transmit power, and UUID in bulk. Mapping to gateways and to the locating engine follows the Hardware Specification.
Reliability and Site Conditions
IP54 and rivet mounting suit fixtures and metal surfaces. On 2.4 GHz, plan channels around Wi-Fi and Bluetooth that share the band.
Wording such as “passive” for the battery follows the nameplate. If the order code is an energy-harvesting or magnet-wake build, judge battery life on its own. SimtoLink recommends a wall and obstruction matrix test before the tags go live.
Key Hardware Parameters
For this tag, the table is the typical build used in selection and in bid clauses. A custom band, package, or bulk UID is available from SimtoLink with the Hardware Specification and the Installation and Commissioning Guide. Order codes in the family can differ slightly; follow the nameplate and the papers shipped with the tags.

Typical Use Cases
Four field patterns for this tag, used when shaping a scheme and when estimating payback:
Warehouse Cycle Counts
A forklift or handheld gateway sweeps the warehouse and shortens the month-end close.
Jobsite Tools and Turnover Gear
Rivets resist removal, and the tag gives coarse location for steel forms and purlins.
Cold-Chain Assets
The temperature and humidity fields help document a break in the cold chain.
Geofence
Entry and exit events can drive video or access control, depending on the platform.
Installation, Grounding, and Maintenance
- Set rivet torque from the mechanical drawing so the shell does not crack and lose its seal.
- Near metal, check the antenna pattern and turn the tag if the read is weak.
- Within the rules for the band, trade broadcast interval and transmit power against battery life and missed reads.
- On the platform, rotate keys, keep a blocklist, and retire a tag as soon as it is lost.
- Calibrate or replace the temperature and humidity sensor on a cycle, depending on the model.
Ordering, Documentation, and Support
SimtoLink supplies the hardware specification, an outline drawing, a wiring table, and a sample project for this tag. Volume orders can include a sample review and inspection at the plant. Warranty and calibration follow the contract and the documents packed with the shipment.
